Is APTTI's special education course RCI-recognised?
No. APTTI's Certificate, Diploma, PG Diploma and Integrated PG Diploma in special education are online professional development courses, not RCI-recognised qualifications. They do not make you eligible for RCI registration or for posts that require it. They are designed for teachers, parents and shadow teachers who want practical knowledge of special educational needs.
What this means in practice
We state this plainly because many people searching for special education courses in India need an RCI route, and choosing the wrong course wastes time and money. APTTI's own course disclaimer says the certificate does not qualify you to work as a licensed special educator and that APTTI does not provide government licences.
What the courses do offer
- Structured online study of developmental disabilities, assessment, communication, classroom interventions and behaviour support.
- Module MCQs, assignments and, at Diploma level and above, research and case work.
- Four levels from 120 to 540 hours.
- Tutor support and certificates issued by APTTI.
If you need RCI registration
Look for a D.Ed or B.Ed Special Education, or another programme, at an institution on RCI's current recognised list. Our pages on RCI registration and on D.Ed versus B.Ed explain the routes.
Why we publish this
Clear information helps you avoid choosing the wrong course and wasting time and money on it.
Before you decide
- Decide whether your goal needs RCI registration.
- If yes, shortlist RCI-recognised institutions.
- If not, compare APTTI's four levels.
- Ask admissions any remaining questions before paying.
What to keep in mind
Course scope can change. Always confirm the awarding arrangements and certificate wording in writing.
Common follow-up questions
Can APTTI course credits count towards an RCI course?
No arrangement of this kind is published. Ask any RCI institution directly about credit for prior learning.
Who issues the APTTI certificate?
APTTI issues it after successful completion; ask admissions for the exact certificate wording.
